Wrote this the night before my calculus final. Took about 30 minutes while I was supposed to be sleeping. Hopefully that explains the quality (or lack thereof) of the poem.

Hey hey, jump for joy,
And though the calc final will surely annoy
Jes' three more classes till we move on to better stuff
The years at GHS have been quite enough
All the fond memories will be just that
Nothing new will be added to the high school hat
While all goodbyes are bittersweet
We have our adult lives to go to meet

So go and meet with strength and hope
Fill your life with love and joy
and if you feel you can no longer cope
just look and ask for help from above.

Step lightly through your life
Avoid the potholes that cause strife
Remember fondly the good days at school
When calc content didn't force dazed drool
And call every now and then, and keep in touch
For it would be a tragedy not to do such

And do this poet one last favor
A little nugget for you to savor
Remember this one line you once heard:
When swimming through life, avoid the bass turds
